Why you ask? Because it's a documentary about a hole-in-the-wall studio in LA where many legendary artists recorded some of their albums; including Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Pat Benatar, Cheap Trick, Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails and Nirvana, just to name a few.
When many studios began going the way of digital in the 80's, Sound City stuck to their archaic way of recording with the Neves soundboard, and we should be thankful that they did, because we got 'Nevermind' out of it.
