I can barely remember what I wore yesterday, let alone what I was doing in January of this year, so I'll make this simple and start from where I stopped making entries on this blog.
After we returned from Portland, the month of September went by in a FLASH! It's the busiest time of the year at FluffyCo, gearing up for the fall season and the holidays. Ernie's company was preparing to mail out their products so he was putting in long hours as well.
To keep with tradition we traveled to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This year we decided to visit my Mom's home country, Nicaragua.
^^ While in Nicaragua we traveled to Corn Island / San Juan del Sur / and Granada ^^
^ Here we are on the day of our 4th Anniversary walking on the beach to head to dinner^
It was back to the grind for the rest of October, but not before finishing out the month with a road trip down the Pacific Coast with my best friend Lindsey!
Celebrated 15 yrs. of friendship with this lovely lady, and oh the fun we've had!
November came and went quickly, serving up some delicious turkey and a couple of surprises.
The first surprise was that Ernie had to take his first business trip to China in over a year! It was really weird to have him go, I had gotten so used to having him around the house but luckily he was back in time for Thanksgiving.
This year's Thanksgiving we were adopted for the day by our friend David and his family (Thanks again, guys!) Last year Ernie and I were all alone, and while I'll admit I had fun staying in my pajamas all day while we cooked up a feast, it's not quite the same holiday without friends and/or family around.
The other surprise is that just before the holiday Ernie was asked to return to China for a bit longer but was given the option to take me with him. Having the wanderlust that I do, paired with the fact that I don't enjoy being away from my husband for too long, I happily obliged.

| Clockwise from top left: A show our friend Lecy took us to in Shenzhen, a DELICIOUS fish dish we ate in Guangzhou, the Guangzhou Public Library, Mavis and I at Jabil, and the Guangdong Museum. |
We returned to San Francisco with just enough time to get ready for our trip back
to Texas for Christmas and NYE!
So happy to be home with friends and family again!
We're both excited for 2014 and all the adventures ahead of us!
